Marge, I asked...the shell is about 12" thick and not real good for eating. This one will become a jack-o-lantern (you must have to use a chainsaw) and then it will be taken to Bear Country (local tourist attraction on HWY 16) for a pre-hibernation feast for the bears.

Looks like they held this pumpkin fest in the nick of time, huh?! My guess is 250 lbs. I have no clue tho!
so what does one do with a pumpkin that large? is it as tasty as a smaller one? marge
