on the Trail

This Corgi kid got so busy exploring the undergrowth that his walking companions got way ahead of him. He suddenly realized that he had been left behind and quickly disappeared down the path and around the bend.  His retreating self made us laugh.

I like your blog! Where does the name come from?

Funny how we sometimes get ahead of ourselves. Good dog too!

Hi Heather,
It is a line from Edward Lear's nonsense poem called "The Jumblies".
Creating a blog was a challenge from my kids, a journey of sorts for old Mom. I found the poem and immediately liked the whimsy of it, I think.
Nice to hear from you.

Bob,
My daughters, son-in-law and I just got such a hoot out of his retreating self!
